"With the precision of a surgeon, Pole Ka draws bodies, dissects and “ecorches” them, unveiling through her precise gestures a realm of lacerated images. She unleashes legions of strange figures who belongs to imaginary landscapes, grotesque scenery and curiosity cabinets. Both naive and eccentric, her visions mingle the animal and the vegetal, hybrids and monstrosity, science and religion and are the aesthetic descendants of Diderot and Alembert's "Encyclopedia,"
Hieronymus Bosch and Lucas Cranach, the Surrealist collages of Max Ernst and forgotten Medieval illuminations. Seeking obsolete anatomical knowledge, extinct pathology and outdated landscape, Pole Ka retraces her own art history as a constant dialogue with medical imagery and the representation of the body."
