Located close to the Southern tip of the Island of Sri Lanka and only about 200 km from the Equator, this secluded crescent shaped beach is the perfect place to sit back, relax and forget about all the hussle and bussle of your other life that’s a million miles away.

This small sandy tropical beach boasts some of Sri Lanka’s best and most stunning sunsets and sunrises.

All the Guest Houses in Mirissa are set back from the actual beach giving you the impression that you are on a deserted palm fringed island. Every now and again the silence is broken by the sound of a coconut falling on the sand or a chilled beer being opened by someone further up the beach.

අතීතයේදී සුළු බෝට්ටු ප්‍රමාණයක් සහිතව වරායක්ද ඉදිවී තිබිණි.චන්ද්‍රවංකයක හැඩය ගත් මෙම හුදකළා මුහුදු තීරය ජීවිතයේ සුන්දරම නිමේශයක නිස්කලංකයේ හුදකලා වීමටත් ඔබේ නිවාඩුව නැගෙන හිරුගේ අතීශය නැවුම් බවින් හා බැස යන හිරුගේ සියුම් ශෘංගාරයෙන් පිනවීමටත් සුදුසුම සංචාරක තෝතැන්නකි.

පොල් රුප්පාවෙන් අසිරි ලද මුහුදු තීරය පෙනෙන සේ සැදුම් ලත් සංචාරක නිවෙස් බොහෝමයක් අද මිරිස්ස පුරා අරක් ගෙන ඇත්තේ දෙස්විදෙස් සංචාරකයන් ආකර්ෂණය සඳහාම ය. එලෙසම සංචාරකයින්ට රිසිසේ ආහාර ගැනීමට හැක. පෙර-අපරදිග ආහාර ක්‍රම හා බොහෝ ආහාර ක්‍රම ගම්වාසින් හා මෙම හෝටල් වල සූපවේදීන් ඉතා දක්ෂ ලෙස පිළියෙල කරති.

මිරිස්ස මුහුදු තීරයේ එක් විශේෂත්වයක් වන්නේ මුහුදු වෙරළ සියයට 95ක් පමණ වැලි සහිතව ගල්වලින් නිදහස්ව පැවතීමත්ය. දහවල් කාලයේදී මිරිස්ස මුහුදු වෙරළ සංචාරකයින්ගෙන් පිරී ඉතිරී ඇති ආකාරය දැක ගත හැකිය. ඔවුන්ට රිසිසේ Surf ක්‍රීඩා කිරීමට, මුහුදේ දිය නෑමට මිරිස්ස මුහුදු තීරය කදිම තෝතැන්නකි.

KDN - Large Rainforest at Galle.

Kanneliya-Dediyagala-Nakiyadeniya / ගාල්ල දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ තියෙන සුන්දර තෙත් වනාන්තරය කන්නෙලිය-දෙදියගල-නාකියාදෙණිය අන්තර්ජාතික ජෛවගෝල රක්‍ෂිතය / கன்னெலிய-தெதியகல-நாக்கியாதெனிய

Kanneliya-Dediyagala-Nakiyadeniya or KDN is a forest complex in southern Sri Lanka. The forest complex designated as a biosphere reserve in 2004 by UNESCO. The KDN complex is the last large remaining rainforest in Sri Lanka other than Sinharaja.

කන්නෙලිය-දෙදියගල-නාකියාදෙණිය හෝ ‘‘‘KDN’’’ යනු දකුණු ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ වන සංකීර්ණයකි. 2004 දී යුනෙස්කෝව විසින් මෙම වන සංකීර්ණය ජෛවගෝල ආරක්ෂිතයක් ලෙසින් නම් කෙරිණි.

සිංහරාජය හැරුණු විට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ඉතිරිව ඇති අවසන් විශාල වන සංරක්ෂිතය KDN සංකීර්ණය වෙයි. මෙම වන ප්‍රදේශය දකුණු ආසියාවේ ශාකමය අතින් අතිශයින් සාරවත් වූ ප්‍රදේශ අතුරින් එකක් වෙයි. වන සංකීර්ණය පිහිටා ඇත්තේ ගාල්ල නගරයට කිමී 35 ක් වයඹ දෙසටය.

මෙම වැසි වනාන්තරය දකුණු ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ඉතා වැදගත් ගංගා දෙකක් වන ගිං සහ නිල්වලා ගංගා සඳහා ප්‍රධාන ජලපෝෂිත ප්‍රදේශයකි. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට ආවේණික බොහෝ ශාක සහ සත්ත්ව විශේෂයන්හට මෙම ජෛවගෝල ආරක්ෂිතය තුල රැකවරණය සැපයෙයි.

This forest area has been identified as one of the floristically richest areas in South Asia. The forest complex is situated 35 km northwest of city of Galle.

The rain forest is a major catchment area for two of the most important rivers in southern Sri Lanka, the Gin and Nilwala Rivers. This biosphere reserve harbors many plants and animal species endemic to Sri Lanka.

கன்னெலிய-தெதியகல-நாக்கியாதெனிய எனப்படுவது இலங்கையின் தென் மாகாணத்தில் காணப்படும் தாழ்நில மழைக்காடுகள் மூன்றின் தொகுப்பாகும். 2004 ஆம் ஆண்டு இத்தொகுப்பை உயிர்வள ஒதுக்கீட்டுப் பகுதியொன்றாக யுனெசுகோ அறிவித்தது.

இந்த கன்னெலிய-தெதியகல-நாக்கியாதெனிய தொகுதி இலங்கையில் எஞ்சியுள்ள மழைக்காடுகளில் மிகப் பெரியதும் சிங்கராஜக் காட்டுக்கு அடுத்தபடியாக முக்கியம் பெறுவதும் ஆகும். இக்காட்டுப் பகுதியானது பூக்குந் தாவர இனங்களின் எண்ணிக்கையின் அடிப்படையில் தெற்காசியாவிலேயே வளம் மிக்க காடுகளில் உள்ளடங்குகிறது.

இக்காட்டுத் தொகுதியானது காலி மாநகரிலிருந்து வடகிழக்காக கிட்டத்தட்ட 35 கிலோமீற்றர் தொலைவில் உள்ளது. இதன் மற்றொரு எல்லைக்கு அருகாமையில் அக்குரசை நகரம் காணப்படுகிறது. இம்மழைக்காட்டுத் தொகுதியே இப்பகுதியில் ஒடும் கிங், நிள்வளா, பொல்வத்து ஓயா போன்ற ஆறுகளுக்கு நீரேந்துப் பகுதியாக இருக்கிறது. மேலும், இவ்வுயிர்வள ஒதுக்கீட்டுப் பகுதியில் இலங்கைக்குத் தனிச் சிறப்பான தாவரங்கள், விலங்குகள் போன்றன ஏராளமாகக் காணப்படுகின்றன.

Unawatuna is a coastal town in Galle district of Sri Lanka. Unawatuna is a major tourist attraction in Sri Lanka and famous for its beautiful beach and corals.

It is a suburb of Galle, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) southeast to the city center and approximately 108 kilometres (67 mi) south of Colombo. Unawatuna is situated at an elevation of 5 metres (16 ft) above the sea level.

Sembuwatta Lake/ සෙම්ඹුවත්ත

Sembuwatta Lake is a tourist attraction situated at Elkaduwa in the Matale District of Sri Lanka.

සෙම්ඹුවත්ත ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ මාතලේ දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ උකුවෙල ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාසයේ ඇල්කඩුවේ පිහිටි සංචාරක ප්‍රදේශයකි.

මෙහි පිහිටි ස්වාභාවික උල්පත් ජලයෙන් නිර්මාණය කරන ලද වැව, විලට පසෙකින් පිහිටි ස්වභාවික පිහිනුම් තටාකය, කැම්බල්'ස් ලේන් වන රක්ෂිතය, තේ වතු යාය සහ සෞම්‍ය දේශගුණය සංචාරකයන්ගේ ආකර්ෂණය දිනාගනි.

Adjacent to the Campbell’s Lane Forest Reserve. Sembuwatta Lake is a man-made lake created from natural spring water. Alongside the lake is a natural swimming pool.

Sembuwatta Lake is believed to be 9 m (30 ft) to 12 m (39 ft) deep. Currently the lake belongs to the Elkaduwa Plantations and produces electricity for the nearby villagers.
