Two years ago, Jatupol Onkapichart, a Deaf vlogger from Thailand, visited Sri Lanka and stayed with us at Lilly Palace Villa. ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฐโค๏ธ

Before Ceylon Deaf Adventures officially began its journey, he experienced something very special , a place created with Deaf people in mind, where communication, culture, travel and hospitality come together naturally.

Lilly Palace Villa is more than accommodation. It became one of the foundations of our journey toward building Deaf-friendly tourism in Sri Lanka.

The story began in 2017, when our owner, Mr. Indika Waas, started developing a Deaf-friendly tourism concept based on real-life experience and the needs of Deaf travellers.

Today, that vision has grown into Ceylon Deaf Adventures , connecting Deaf travellers with Sri Lanka through accessible experiences, Deaf guides, sign language communication and meaningful cultural connections. ๐ŸŒ๐ŸคŸ

When we signed our MoU with DeafVentures (Germany) last month, it was a quiet moment in a small room ,a document, a handshake, and a lot of hope.

Believed to be Sri Lanka's first cross-border Deaf tourism partnership, the MoU makes Ceylon Deaf Adventures the preferred ground partner for DeafVentures in Sri Lanka. Together we'll develop, market and operate Deaf travel between Germany and Sri Lanka, guided in sign language from arrival to departure.

We are proud to announce an important milestone for Deaf and accessible tourism in Sri Lanka.

On 19 August 2026, in Sri Lanka, Ceylon Deaf Adventures (CDA) ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฐ and DeafVentures ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)for a strategic partnership in Deaf and accessible tourism.

The MOU was signed by Praveen Waas, Founder & CEO of Ceylon Deaf Adventures, and Patrick Bauer of DeafVentures, with the DeafVentures delegation visiting Sri Lanka from Germany.
