The Bridge in the Sky — Ella’s Nine-Arch Wonder 🇱🇰

Hidden in Sri Lanka’s misty highlands, the Nine Arch Bridge — built in 1919 entirely from stone, brick, and cement — stands as a masterpiece of colonial-era engineering and natural harmony. 🌿

Stretching 91 meters long and 24 meters high, its graceful arches curve through emerald tea fields, earning it the name “The Bridge in the Sky.” Designed by Harold Cuthbert Marwood and D. J. Wimalasurendra, it remains one of the most photographed landmarks in Sri Lanka. 🚆✨
