It's something we are all guilty of...

Checking Weather apps!!

I get it, you book your 2 week family holiday, the excitement is real all you want to know is that you will see some sunshine (especially if you are from the UK!)

BUT...

Sri Lanka is a tropical island, the weather is unpredictable, even for the weather apps. So, yes, even in the dry seasons you can still experience rain🌧️.

However, it is often only short down pours then it's back to beautiful sunshine ☀️

Also most people travel around the island to experience all Sri Lanka has to offer, so you will also experience different weather. Just be prepared, bring a light rain jacket and enjoy 😄

And try not to check those apps, because 9 times out of 10 they are wrong!!

This is the only public entrance to Dalawella beach where you can see turtles swimming in shallow crystal clear water.

You will have to climb over some small rocks to get there but it is not difficult and completely worth it!!
