10-Day Sri Lanka Tour Itinerary

Start & End: Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB)

Day 1 – Arrival & Transfer to Sigiriya (Cultural Triangle Begins)
Warm welcome at BIA by your personal guide/driver.

Transfer to Sigiriya – unwind after your long flight.

Optional village walk or sunset viewpoint in the evening.

Overnight stay: Sigiriya / Habarana

Day 2 – Explore Sigiriya & Dambulla
Climb the world-famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress (UNESCO Site).

Visit Dambulla Cave Temple – Sri Lanka’s largest cave complex.

Enjoy a traditional village lunch or local cooking experience.

Overnight stay: Sigiriya / Habarana

Day 3 – Safari & Scenic Drive to Kandy
Morning jeep safari at Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park (depending on elephant movement).

En route to Kandy, Visit Wall art museum, center point of Sri Lanka and herbal garden.

Evening visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and Cultural dance.

Overnight stay: Kandy

Day 4 – Kandy Exploration & Train to Nanu Oya
Stroll through Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden.

Board the scenic train ride from Kandy to Nanu Oya.

Visit tea plantations and waterfalls.

Overnight stay: Nuwara Eliya (“Little England”)

Day 5 – Nuwara Eliya to Ella via Tea Country
Visit Gregory Lake and local markets.

Continue to Ella with stops at scenic viewpoints.

Relax in the beautiful hill town of Ella.

Overnight stay: Ella

Day 6 – Ella Adventure
Hike to Little Adam’s Peak.

Visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge.

Optional: Ravana waterfall or Flying Ravana zipline.

Overnight stay: Ella

Day 7 – Ella to Yala / Udawalawe Safari
Scenic drive to Yala or Udawalawe.

Enjoy an evening wildlife safari (choose park depending on preference: elephants in Udawalawe or leopards in Yala).

Overnight stay: Near National Park

Day 8 – South Coast Beaches (Mirissa / Weligama)
Drive to the southern coast.

Relax at the beach or enjoy optional water sports.

Overnight stay: Mirissa / Weligama

Day 9 – Galle Fort & Coastal Drive to Colombo
Visit Galle Dutch Fort (UNESCO Heritage Site).

Stop at stilt fishermen and a turtle conservation center.

Arrive in Colombo and enjoy a city tour (if time allows).

Overnight stay: Colombo or Negombo

Day 10 – Departure
Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) for departure.

Optional souvenir shopping or final city visit if time permits.
