Some books have a way of taking you back to places you have loved.

I recently read a book set in Singapore, and with every page, I found myself walking through those familiar streets again. It brought back memories of my very first trip there.

At the time, work had been overwhelming, and I was desperately in need of a break. When my husband got the chance to visit Singapore for work, he casually asked, “Why don’t you come with me?” While he spent his days in meetings, I wandered around the city on my own, discovering little corners, trying new food, and falling in love with Singapore at my own pace. We even stayed a couple of extra days to explore together.

Since then, I’ve been back once more, but somehow it never feels like enough. Singapore is one of those places I could visit again and again without ever getting tired of it.

Funny how a book can open the door to memories you didn’t even realize you were missing. 🧡🇸🇬

Sometimes, the best company is your own.

After a long time, I finally said yes to a solo date. I started with a relaxing pedicure at Spa Ceylon and enjoyed a delicious meal at a cozy .lk and gave myself the time to slow down and simply enjoy the moment.

Alhamdulillah for these little moments of peace. 🌿✨
