Spotted deer in Sri Lanka 🦌✨
One of the most beautiful and commonly seen animals on safari! They usually live around 9–13 years in the wild and move in large, peaceful herds.

Best time to spot them is early morning or late afternoon when they come out to graze 🌿 They are very friendly to watch and often stay close to water sources. Keep an eye (and ear!) out for their loud alarm calls — it can mean a leopard 👀 is nearby, which makes the safari even more exciting!

A perfect moment for photos and a true taste of Sri Lanka’s wildlife 🇱🇰

“The Asian Spoonbill is easily recognized by its spoon-shaped bill, which it swings side to side in shallow water to catch small fish and insects.
The Painted Stork, with its striking pink, white, and black feathers, feeds by feeling for prey with its half-open bill rather than using sight.
Both birds are important wetland species and a sign of a healthy ecosystem in Sri Lanka’s lagoons and national parks.”
