We “ UPCOUNTRY ADVENTURES - SRI LANKA ” are an adventure & outdoor company specializing in Trekking , Cycling , Abseiling & Camping. It’s our mission to provide extraordinary outdoor adventures & mesmerizing experiences to you. Our guides are young , energetic , well experienced & are former president Scouts.
Amila J Senarathna - Founder & Owner
Amila, born in the central hills of the paradise island, Sri Lanka, grew up spending most of his time with nature. At age 7 he started his adventure journey as a cub scout and became a president scout in 2011. With his passion and enthusiasm, he continued scouting to accomplish the final section of the Baden-Powell Scouts’ Association and became a Rover scout. With the completion of secondary education, he chose to follow up on IT courses and a career in the IT field, where he had the opportunity to work under two prestigious companies within the country. Working for several years and realizing it isn’t what he loves and enjoys and with the thought of following his one true passion, he kept the full stop for his career in the field of IT. With the intention of doing what he loves the most, to be with nature, and enjoy the life he gave a kick-off to a new career in outdoor recreation activities by starting his own company Upcountry Adventures – Sri Lanka.
