Sri Lankan coconut pancakes are essentially pancakes filled with sweet coconut; they are also referred to as "pol pani pancakes" by the locals, or "wellawahum" by the ancient Sri Lankans. They are very remarkable and undoubtedly the simplest teatime snack to consume. Since these are rolled and not like regular pancakes, some people also refer to them as Sri Lankan pancake rolls.
