The Lahugala Elephant usually refers to the wild elephants you can see at Lahugala Kitulana National Park in Sri Lanka’s Eastern Province.
Lahugala is one of the country’s smallest national parks but is famous for being a feeding ground for large herds of elephants, especially during the dry season (July–September). The park’s lush grasslands and water sources attract elephants from nearby forests, making it an excellent spot for wildlife photography and close viewing from the main road itself.
