Black Diamond Lake is an abandoned mine site that filled with water after being de-commissioned in the 50s.
While there doesn’t seem to be a difiniative answer, reports state that the water is believed to be so blue because of how light reflects off the limestone rock that forms the base.

Sri Lanka Hill Myna (Gracula ptilogenys) formerly simply known as the hill myna. It is Endemic to Sri Lanka and is a member of the starling family (Sturnidae)
In Sri Lanka it is a popular bird known as “Sela lihiniya” from Sinhalese literature in poems and other literature.
It is also known for its ability to talk.

Sri Lankan Leopard (Panthera pardus kotiya)
Leopard subspecies native to Sri Lanka.

This is one of the Nelum Villa cubs (male) from 2017.
Taken in Wilpattu just after a lot of rain, which can be also seen by the amount of greenery around this leopard. New plants sprouting up and others revitalizes with the rains, creating a amazing contrasts.

Little Green Bee-eater (Merops orientalis)
Bee eaters are an extremely beautiful bird to photograph. It’s a small bird that mainly feed on insects and they are found in grassland, thin scrub and forest areas across the island.
M. o. ceylonicus is the sub species found in Sri Lanka it has the nape and hindneck with more pronounced golden brown sheen often included within the nominate race.
It is the most common of the bee-eaters found in Sri Lanka.
