"யாழ்ப்பாணத்துக்கு வருகை தாருங்கள் 2026" – வட மாகாணத்தின் பெரும் கலாசார மற்றும் உணவுத் திருவிழா ஓகஸ்ட் 15 முதல்
வட மாகாணத்தின் வளமான கலாசாரப் பாரம்பரியம், தனித்துவமான உணவுப் பாரம்பரியம் மற்றும் கலை மரபுகளை உள்நாட்டு மற்றும் சர்வதேச சுற்றுலாவிகளுக்கு அறிமுகப்படுத்தும் நோக்கில், வட மாகாண சுற்றுலாப் பணியகத்தின் ஏற்பாட்டில் 'யாழ்ப்பாணத்துக்கு வருகை தாருங்கள் 2026 – கலாசார மற்றும் உணவுத் திருவிழா' (Visit Jaffna 2026 – Cultural and Culinary Festival) எதிர்வரும் சனிக்கிழமை (15.08.2026) முதல் மூன்று நாட்கள் நடைபெறவுள்ளது.
எதிர்வரும் ஓகஸ்ட் 15, 16 மற்றும் 17 ஆம் திகதிகளில், யாழ்ப்பாணத்தின் வரலாற்றுச் சிறப்புமிக்க முற்றவெளி பண்ணை மைதானத்தில் நடைபெறவுள்ள இந்தப் பிரமாண்ட விழா, வட மாகாண சுற்றுலாத்துறையை சர்வதேச அரங்கில் மேலும் வலுப்படுத்தும் நோக்கத்துடன் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதுடன், யாழ்ப்பாணத்தின் தனித்துவமான அடையாளங்களை உலகுக்கு எடுத்துச் செல்லும் முக்கிய முயற்சியாகவும் அமையவுள்ளது.
இந்நிகழ்வு தொடர்பில் கருத்துத் தெரிவித்த வட மாகாண சுற்றுலாப் பணியகத்தின் தலைவர் கலாநிதி ஜே.விவேகானந்தன், வட மாகாணத்தின் பாரம்பரியமும் பண்பாடும் சுற்றுலாத்துறையின் ஊடாக உலக அரங்கில் மேலும் உயர்த்தப்பட வேண்டிய தேவை இருப்பதாகக் குறிப்பிட்டார்.
அவர் மேலும் தெரிவிக்கையில், யாழ்ப்பாணத்தின் தொன்மைமிக்க கலாசாரப் பாரம்பரியம், உலகப் புகழ்பெற்ற சுவைமிகு உணவுகள் மற்றும் கலை மரபுகளை உள்நாட்டு மற்றும் சர்வதேச சுற்றுலாவிகளுக்கு அறிமுகப்படுத்தும் நோக்கிலேயே இந்தத் திருவிழா ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. பண்ணை கடற்கரையையும் யாழ்ப்பாணக் கோட்டையையும் அண்மித்த இயற்கை எழில் சூழ்ந்த முற்றவெளி பண்ணை மைதானத்தில் நடைபெறும் இந்த விழா, வட மாகாண சுற்றுலாத்துறையின் வளர்ச்சிப் பயணத்தில் ஒரு முக்கிய மைல்கல்லாக அமையும். வட மாகாணத்தின் சுற்றுலா, கலாசாரம், கைவினை, பாரம்பரிய உணவுகள் மற்றும் உள்ளூர் பொருளாதாரத்தை ஒரே மேடையில் உலகிற்கு வெளிப்படுத்தும் அரிய வாய்ப்பாகவும் இந்த நிகழ்வு அமையும், என்றார்.
மூன்று நாட்கள் நடைபெறவுள்ள இந்தத் திருவிழாவில் வட மாகாணத்தின் பாரம்பரிய உணவுக் கண்காட்சி, கைவினைப் பொருட்கள் காட்சி மற்றும் விற்பனை, கலாசார மற்றும் நாட்டுப்புறக் கலை நிகழ்ச்சிகள், இசை நிகழ்ச்சிகள், பாரம்பரிய விளையாட்டுகள், உள்ளூர் உற்பத்தியாளர்களின் கண்காட்சிகள் உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு சிறப்பு அம்சங்கள் இடம்பெறவுள்ளன.
உள்நாட்டு மற்றும் வெளிநாட்டு சுற்றுலாவிகள், முதலீட்டாளர்கள், தொழில் முனைவோர் மற்றும் பொதுமக்கள் என அனைவரையும் இந்தப் பெருவிழாவில் கலந்துகொள்ளுமாறு வட மாகாண சுற்றுலாப் பணியகம் அழைப்பு விடுத்துள்ளது.

'Visit Jaffna 2026' – Cultural and Culinary Festival' is set to be held for three days from next Saturday.
With the aim of introducing the rich cultural heritage, unique culinary traditions and artistic traditions of the Northern Province to domestic and international tourists, the 'Visit Jaffna 2026 – Cultural and Culinary Festival' is being organized by the Northern Province Tourism Bureau and will be held for three days from next Saturday (15 August 2026).
On August 15, 16 and 17, this grand festival, which will be held at the historic Muttaveli Pannai Grounds in Jaffna, has been designed with the aim of further strengthening the Northern Province tourism sector on the international stage and will also serve as a major initiative to showcase Jaffna's unique identities to the world.
Commenting on the event, Chairman of the Northern Province Tourism Bureau Dr. J. Vivekananthan noted that there is a need to further elevate the heritage and culture of the Northern Province on the world stage through tourism.
He further stated that the festival has been organized with the aim of introducing Jaffna's ancient cultural heritage, world-renowned delicious cuisine and artistic traditions to domestic and international tourists. Held at the naturally scenic Muttaveli Pannai Grounds, located close to Pannai Beach and Jaffna Fort, this festival will be an important milestone in the development journey of the Northern Province tourism sector. This event will also provide a rare opportunity to showcase the Northern Province's tourism, culture, handicrafts, traditional foods and local economy to the world on a single platform, he said.
The three-day festival will feature a traditional food exhibition of the Northern Province, an exhibition and sale of handicrafts, cultural and folk art performances, musical performances, traditional games, exhibitions by local producers and various other special features.
The Northern Province Tourism Bureau has invited domestic and foreign tourists, investors, entrepreneurs and the general public to participate in this grand festival.
