The sea around Sri Lanka is rich in marine life. The dolphins are one such. There are several species of dolphins in our seas and the spinners have got to be the most frequently seen. Off the seas of Kalpitiya, you'd see hundreds of them during the season which is October to about March. There are many sightings off the Southern coast, Mirissa and in the Eastern seas of Trincomalee.

The bee-eaters are fascinating little birds. The Chestnut-Headed and the Blue-Tailed are not so common but the Little Green Bee-Eater is a frequent and delightful sighting. These pictures were taken in Yala and we can't wait to see these little energy-loaded birds again.
