Sri Lanka Tourism Set for Best January Since 2018 with 250,000+ Arrivals

Sri Lanka’s tourism industry is set to record its highest January arrivals since 2018, with visitor numbers expected to surpass 250,000.

According to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), the country has already welcomed 212,838 tourists, marking a 21% year-on-year increase. The surge in daily arrivals signals a strong industry recovery, raising hopes for sustained growth throughout 2024. If the momentum continues, January's total arrivals will comfortably exceed the 238,924 recorded in 2018.
