🌅Sunset boat trip on Tissa Lake. Get up close and personal with the abundant bird life and the see the occasional crocodile from a safe distance on this relaxing late afternoon boat cruise

🪴Trip to a local potter. This family leads a simple life and creates handcrafted pots using wooden wheels that they built by hand. They are very friendly and love to show visitors their process.

🙏Hike to an untouristed jungle temple. This temple is called Wedhiti Kanda and climbing to the top is quite the trek. If you’re lucky you’ll be joined by other pilgrims- chanting and beating drums all the way to the top. The views and the king coconut at the top make the hard climb worth it!

Our story

Wild Lotus is a small, family owned business that has deep roots in the area surrounding Yala national park. Capitalizing on our passions for design, unique travel experiences and wildlife, we built our one bedroom bungalow in the jungle 2013. In 2018, we opened our second 3 bedroom villa and pool to accommodate our growing family and to host those who love wild Sri Lanka as much as we do.
