As the largest garden in Sri Lanka, elegant and spacious, spanning 60 hectares, a stroll along the impressive Avenue of Royal Palms in Peradeniya is a must. 🦎

The Peradeniya Gardens boasts approximately 4,000 different plant species. The approximately 10,000 trees that are the garden's signature are mature, towering giants, many of them tropical fruit trees. One of the highlights of the collection is the giant Burmese bamboo, which can reach 40 meters in height and a trunk diameter of 25 centimeters. It can grow at a rapid rate of 30 centimeters per day.
