Raffle & Bazaar Alert

This weekend, Hangtime Hostel is joining our Good Market approved Hangtime Bazaar on October 4 & 5, 12–6 PM.

They’ve generously donated gift certificates worth ₹8,000 for our raffle. All money raised from vendors and raffle prizes will go to Make Them Smile, supporting underprivileged children across Sri Lanka.

Hangtime Hostel is the first official Good Market approved hostel in Sri Lanka. They offer dorm and double room accommodation, a rooftop restaurant, a retail outlet, yoga sessions, and local excursions in Weligama. Hangtime does not use plastic straws and aims to minimize waste. Beds are made from reclaimed fishing boats and ropes. They give back to the community by training and employing local villagers, sourcing from local suppliers, retailing products from social enterprises and responsible businesses, and organizing regular beach cleanups.

Sunpower Lanka offers organic home delivery in southern Sri Lanka. They work with producers that are verified under an organic participatory guarantee system (PGS) to supply microgreens, edible flowers, salad greens, herbs, fruits, vegetables, free range eggs, fresh milk, and heirloom rice. They want to make it easier for people to “eat healthy, eat organic, and give back to nature.” The Sunpower founder is part of NextGEN Sri Lanka and is an active volunteer for environmental awareness and peace building.
