We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Travel Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a strong understanding of the travel industry, and the ability to plan and book a wide range of travel itineraries, including flights, accommodations, tours, and activities. Applicants must have experience working with the Amadeus ticketing system.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the entire travel planning process.
Conduct needs assessments to understand client travel preferences and requirements.
Research and recommend suitable travel destinations, accommodations, transportation, and activities.
Prepare detailed travel itineraries, including flight schedules, hotel reservations, and tour bookings.
Book and manage travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and tours using the Amadeus ticketing system.
Monitor and respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Stay up-to-date on travel industry trends, destinations, and promotions.
Utilize travel technology and reservation systems effectively.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all travel bookings.
Build and maintain strong relationships with travel suppliers.
Contribute to the overall success of the travel agency.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Travel Agent or in a related role (e.g., customer service, tourism).
Proven experience working with the Amadeus ticketing system.
Excellent customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Proficient in using travel technology and reservation systems (e.g., GDS, CRS).
In-depth knowledge of geography, travel destinations, and travel regulations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
High level of enthusiasm for travel and the travel industry.
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but a Plus):
Experience with specific travel niches (e.g., luxury travel, adventure travel, corporate travel).
Fluency in multiple languages.
Knowledge of sustainable and responsible travel practices.
