Article in #1986 newspaper "Voice of Riga" reporting on misbehaviour of workers of various local establishments, for example, turns out that

"...nine workers of Riga block house construction factory have managed to attend a guided tour during their working hours!"

You would never sneak away from work for such reason these days, would you? ;)

Other misbehaviours though are reported to be related to alcohol consumption and poor management. Those were the days when someone was always watching everyone and reporting directly to newspapers!

While little Hanss is sniffing around the ground, I sniff around the bush - lilacs by the National Opera and Ballet Theatre this year seem to bloom prettier than ever! It do is good to get slowed-down sometimes to get to see things from a different perspective. Riga certainly is best enjoyed slowly!
