Day trip from Marrakech to kasbah ait ben haddou Ouarzazate

Ouarzazate is nicknamed « the door of the desert » marks the beginning of the Sahara desert. It’s closest point of the desert, making it ideal for those who cannot spare more than one day away from Marrakesh to see the desert.

The area is known for its kasbahs, Berber-constructed building that make the are iconic. The fortified village (ksar) of Ait Ben Haddou is the most popular for this kind of construction. It is studded with crenelated towers and its buildings decorated with geometrical motifs and are considered to be one of the most beautiful villages of this kind in Morocco. Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for this reason.

If these pictures look familiar, that is because you have seen this place before. Film such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, The Hills Have Eyes, Salmon Fishing in Yemen, and Game of Thrones give this are the stamp of notoriety.

ITINERARY
You will be picked up from you hotel 7:30 am and start the round trip of 200 km across the Atlas mountains via the Tizin’nTichka pass at an altitude of 2260 meters Along the way, you will see amazing landscapes dotted with Berber villages.

After the visit to Ait Ben Haddou and the lunch, you’ll departure towards Ouarzazate and arrive around 3:45 to visit the Museum of Cinema and the other Kasbah Taourirt (extra). These entries are optional for those who wish to access them.

You will return to Marrakesh around 7:30 pm.

Ouzoud waterfall

are one of the most visited and photographed natural sites in Morocco! Located near the Grand Atlas village of Tanaghmeilt in the province of Azilal, the area is lush with green valleys, orchards and a circuit of gorges.

During your walk to the waterfalls, you might see wild monkeys. They are use to people and may approach you; nothing to worry about, just hang on to your valuables.

ITINERARY
You will be picked up from your hotel around 8:20 am and drive straight to Sidi Rahal and Tanante. From the village, you’ll walk downhill towards the waterfalls. You can have lunch next to the streams and relax around the water before meeting your driver to return to Marrakesh

You will return to Marrakesh around 18:30 pm .

Day trip from Marrakech to ourika Valley

Ourika Valley, located in the High Atlas Mountains, is home to several Berber villages. With a wealth of culture and beautiful landscape, a day trip into Ourika Valley is an ideal escape from Marrakesh , and it is the chance to chase some waterfalls.

ITINERARY
You will be picked up at your hotel around 9:15am. On the way to Ourika Valley, you will stop at a local Argan cooperative where women will showcase some cosmetic products. The next destination is a Berber home where you will have a cup tea with a family living in the area.

After tea, you will drive along the Ourika River to the Berber village of Setti Fatma. If you would like to explore the valley on foot, local hiking guides will help you climb the mountain and take you to the two waterfalls.

During our stay near Setti Fatma, you can choose one of the restaurants along the river and enjoy your lunch.

You will leave Setti Fatma and arrive back to Marrakesh around 5:30pm.

Buggy in the Palmeraie of Marrakech
Escape the busy streets of Marrakesh and go in a Buggy adventure to the beautiful Palmeraie oasis. The Palmeraie, a 20-minute-drive outside the city, is home to manicured gardens, orange trees and several hundred thousand palm trees.
On your 2-hour adventure, you’ll discover traditional Berber villages that have been practically unchanged for over 200 years. Midway through the tour, you’ll break for a cup of Moroccan tea and a snack with a local family. With your guide as translator, you’ll be able to learn a bit about their lifestyle as you share a bit of time together.
Enjoy the serenity of the desert before hopping back in your Buggy and continuing your rugged desert ride.
The whole tour takes about 2 hours.
The activity is suitable for families. Children over the age of 14 years old are allowed to drive the Buggy. Younger children must ride with an adult.
ITINERARY
Your driver will pick you up from your hotel at 9 :00 or 11:00 for a morning excursion or 14:00 or 16:00 for an afternoon excursion. You will drive 20 minutes to the oasis at which point you will get your quad bike, helmet and a 20-minute safety briefing. The whole excursion takes about 4 hours.
