Having travelled most parts of this exotic country, we made our base in Ouarzazarte, “The Gateway to the Desert”. We offer two styles of bike tours, off-road on our KTMs, & Dual Sport on the GS. They are all recent models, metic

ulously maintained & each is installed with a GPS showing the daily route allowing the faster bikers to lead while the others in the group form smaller groups behind all going at their preferred pace, & everyone regroups regularly. John & Su have Wilderness medical certificates & our well-equipped support vehicles include defib, oxygen, stretcher, etc & follow the same route, never far behind. From a 2* guest house in an abandoned historical village, desert bivouacs in the Sahara to converted 200 year old castles, our overnight stops, most with pools, are always the best available & memorable. Experience the amazing scenery, historic sites, superb variety of riding both on and off-road, whilst enjoying a fully supported adventure of a lifetime with MotoAventures!

MOTO AVENTURES started in 1996 organising quality guided off road tours around Andorra, the Southern Pyrenees and the Mediterranean, and exciting adventures in the Atlas Mountains & Sahara Desert of Morocco. In 2007 we began our touring adventures on BMW GS1200 across South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe and in 2015 held our first BMW road tour around Morocco, starting and ending in Malaga, Spain. Owned and run by John Griffiths and Su Downham, Moto Aventures was born as the result of an idea John had whilst spending two winters biking across Africa from London to Cape Town. In Morocco, for both our off-road and road tours, we use a selection of 3* and 4* hotels, most styled on the old kasbahs. (fortified houses) One night the accommodation is an actual 200+ year old kasbah that has been totally renovated and conditioned to be a hotel. The night in our desert bivouac, 60 kms from tarmac, is always a highlight. After a good meal we sit around the campfire and listen to some local musicians.

Southern Africa is stunning African lodges and tented camps, combined with wild life safaris and sun-downer river cruises. Your safety is an extremely important issue to us and one that we have spent a lot of time and money investigating, so as to enable us to offer you the best possible service. We are unique in that on all our adventures your bike has, free of charge, a GPS with each days route installed, and we have multiple Sat phones, assistance vehicles, and leaders with medical knowledge supported with a comprehensive professional medical kit, including defibrillator, vacuum splints and even oxygen.
