The fossa is incredibly rare to see in Ranomafana, but on August 26th, talented Malagasy wildlife photographer Armel Madagascar shot these series of photographs in the rainforest. Armel reports that the young fossa was hunting a dwarf lemur. WOW!

Scaphiophryne spinosa is a species of mossy frog in the family Microhylidae and is endemic to the eastern rainforests Madagascar. Its main threat is habitat loss. Consider yourself lucky if you come across this master of camouflage!
