Had an amazing day with our group visiting Lake Tritriva in Antsirabe! This sacred lake, set in an ancient volcanic crater, mesmerized us with its deep blue waters, cliffs, and stunning views. Our guide shared the touching legend of the tragic lovers and the lake’s cultural significance. A must-see natural wonder!

Hello everyone, whether you are former guests or future guests, we would like to share some important facts about Madagascar that you should keep in mind while preparing for your adventure in 2025-2026.

It’s important to note that the only airlines servicing Madagascar may experience last-minute cancellations or rescheduling. We recommend that travelers consult with a local agency before booking international flights to ensure proper connections to local flights, as the only local airline does not operate daily on certain routes. Additionally, travelers should remain flexible with their plans.

Accommodations can be quite limited, and many properties may not offer 24-hour electricity or air conditioning, especially in remote areas. With these considerations in mind, we highly recommend planning ahead and booking as early as possible to avoid complications.

Here are some important factors to keep in mind:

◽️Limited Accommodations : While Madagascar offers unique eco-lodges and boutique hotels, accommodations can be sparse in remote regions. Many areas may offer basic or rustic lodgings or even require camping. Additionally, many accommodations do not have 24-hour electricity, and air conditioning is not always available. It’s essential to plan carefully, especially when traveling to more isolated areas. We recommend booking at least 6 months in advance, with 10 months being ideal, to avoid fully booked flights or accommodations. While some agencies accept last-minute bookings, options for accommodation and logistics may be limited in such cases.

◽️Unpredictable Roads : Road conditions in Madagascar can be challenging. Potholes, mud, and dusty roads are common, particularly outside major cities. These tough conditions can make travel difficult, and navigating them requires a reliable vehicle and an experienced driver.

◽️Lack of Developed Infrastructure: Madagascar’s tourism infrastructure is still developing. For travelers seeking convenience or luxury, it may fall short. To ensure your trip runs smoothly—whether managing transportation, securing a professional guide, or handling logistics—contacting a licensed travel provider is crucial. They can ensure you have a reliable vehicle, expert guides, and a well-organized itinerary, allowing you to focus on the adventure itself.
