OHRID HOUSE

This rare example of well crafted architecture, that is not invasive to its natural surrounding is one of our favorite houses in the old part of the town, very close to the Saint Sofia church, on the lake.

Unfortunately, only recently some regulations were forced, to build or restore houses in certain manner, but the thirty years of lawlessness took its toll, and there are many inappropriate houses or buildings which don't belong. Even sadder, the local museum and the Directorate for Protection of Cultural Heritage gave green light for many of those atypical and tasteless buildings.
