Known as "Golden Rock" among international tourists, Kyaikhtiyoe Pagoda is a pilgrimage site most popular with Buddhists who believe that the 500-ton boulder is maintained in that precarious position thanks to Buddha's hair enshrined in it! Although there are other such balacing rocks around the world, none of them is nearly as precarious as this Golden Rock!
