On YouTube, the Dutch traveler and adventure seeker Noraly Schoenmaker, who shares travel content through the channel โItchy Boots,โ has gained nearly 7 million views for her Mongolia motorcycle series, making it one of the most-watched travel vlogs on the platform.
She began this travel series in Turkey, journeying through South Asia and Central Asia, and after crossing Chinaโs Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in its entirety, entered Mongolia through the western border. She then traveled across the provinces of Khovd, Uvs, Zavkhan, and Arkhangai. The Mongolia series is still ongoing, with new episodes released every Sunday, each gathering between 1 to 1.6 million views. As of now, the โItchy Bootsโ channel has reached 3.3 million subscribers and a total of 775.8 million views across all content.
Since 2018, Noraly Schoenmaker has been traveling the world by motorcycle. She has visited more than 70 countries and covered over 190,000 kilometers, as she highlighted on her social media. In 2025, she published a book titled โFree Ride,โ based on her travel experiences, which made it onto The New York Times bestseller list.
With its vast landscapes, low population density, and rich natural diversity, Mongolia is expected to see growing demand for adventure tourism, supported significantly by this type of content from well-known travelers. In 2019, the famous British show โTop Gear,โ featuring Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond, filmed an episode of their new series โThe Grand Tourโ in Mongolia, which was well received by international audiences.
