Ovoo

According to the traditional religion of Mongolian nomads, each prominent place in the landscape has its spirit – the so-called “ruler”.

OVOOS – are used to worship these deities of Nature. The word ovoo meaning a “pile” in Mongolian, they are usually built in the form of stone heaps, but wood can also be used.

Furgons are steel Russian vans. They were first designed in the Soviet Union for military use. UAZ is no longer a government organization but continues to produce these unique vehicles. Their seats face each other, have no seat belts and no air conditioning. Their simple mechanics and resilient design make them ideal for tackling the challenges of a Mongolian road trip.
