Ile Aux Cerfs
Île aux Cerfs Island translates to deer island in English. It is a picturesque island spread over 87 hectares of untouched land off the east coast of Mauritius. It is famous for its white sandy beaches and its turquoise lagoons.

Marie Reine De La Paix is an open church situated on the hillside of Signal Mountain overlooking the whole city of the Port Louis. It was constructed just after World War II. In October 1989, thousands of islanders attended the mass celebrated by Pope John Paul when he made his first official visit to Mauritius. The hillside has several terraces and is nicely landscaped. To reach the top, you have to climb 82 steps. The statue of the Virgin Mary is made of white marble and sits atop the church. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Mauritius. 🇲🇺 🌴 @ Marie Reine De La Paix
