Exciting news - we’re growing! 🌿✨

As things at Dar Għawdex expand, we’re excited to welcome Sára Szabó as our first official team member, taking on the role of Operations Assistant!🎉

Sára has been part of our community for a while, volunteering behind the scenes. Now, she’ll officially be helping with guest and community communications moving forward. 🥰

If you reach out and hear from Sara, know that you’re in great hands. ☺️ She’s warm, organized, and totally understands our mission: to make everyone who walks through the door or chats with us feel welcomed and safe. 🥰💛

Today was a huge roller coaster of emotions.

I woke up with the biggest pit in my stomach, struggling to hold back tears because I was so unsure about the future of the Community center. Now, a few hours later, I’m still crying - but tears of joy - thanks to a very special woman who believes in what I’m doing.

Beyond thankful, grateful, and honestly still processing, because I’m so bewildered and trying my best not to look a gift horse in the mouth and just graciously accept the help.

And not only today’s unexpected and amazing contribution, but the outreach of support, love and positive feedback over these past weeks has been overwhelmingly just - love. There is no other word. Just love. 🫶🏽

So thank you - you know who you are. Because of you - all of you - the Community center will continue to be here for anyone that needs it.

And that’s a beautiful thing. 🥰
