C H I T O:

Chito was born in San Francisco, Nayarit in 1986, grew up in Bucerías. As a local in the bay, many people know him as a funny, charismatic, responsible, cool friend and father to 3. At age 11 he started boogie boarding in Bucerías, and was an excellent swimmer. He graduated university as a Diver instructor, he then also started as a swimming instructor and sailing instructor. It was not until age 26 that he decided to take on surfing, he realized that it was not complicated at all for him and that it was so much fun. Now having a lot of experience in the ocean (practically a fish in the ocean 🐟) and surfing he started working as a surf instructor in Sayulita for a little more than 10 years. He came to the realization that teaching the sport was his passion and decided to branch out on his own in 2023. Chito open his own surf school to be able to give an experience to others, which can mean more than just a sport or one more activity to do on vacation. Sometimes it is healing to the soul to have that special connection with the ocean during Surfing.
