If you’re looking for a Cape Cod stay that feels fresh, modern, and a little different without spending luxury resort prices, then 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘜𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘳 is worth adding to your list.

As Cape Cod’s newest boutique hotel, the property has a fun, eclectic feel inspired by Marseille, France, blending vintage charm with modern design. It has a relaxed boutique vibe that feels different from your typical Cape motel, and I found myself appreciating all of the unique little details throughout the property.

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
💦Indoor heated pool + outdoor pool (perfect because Cape weather doesn’t always cooperate!)
🥂 Complimentary welcome champagne at check-in
☕ Arcana Café on-site for coffee and quick bites (my only complaint…I wish it stayed open a little later for those afternoon coffee cravings!)
🌿 Beautiful pond view in the back- perfect for sipping that morning coffee
🛏️ Modern, updated rooms with different Moroccan-inspired accommodations
🔥 Fire pits, complimentary bikes, and an on-site restaurant & bar with a great cocktail menu
😊 Friendly staff that made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived

One thing we always look for when staying on the Cape is a central location because we like exploring different towns instead of staying in one place. We usually find ourselves spending time in Chatham, Harwich, Dennis, Dennis Port, Orleans and Hyannis, so West Yarmouth made for a great home base- if you don’t mind driving a bit! For reference:

📍 Hyannis – about 5 minutes
📍 Dennis / Dennis Port – about 15–20 minutes
📍 Chatham – about 30 minutes
📍 Upper Cape (Sandwich/Falmouth area) – about 35–50 minutes, depending on where you’re headed.
📍 Orleans – about 30–40 minutes
📍 Eastham – about 40 minutes
📍 Provincetown – about 1 hour 10 minutes

For us, the location worked out really well since we like seeing as much of the Cape as possible during our trips.

If you asked me what kind of vacation truly helps me relax… this would be it. 💙

We spent 7 nights at 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗶 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗻, and I can honestly say I never once looked at my husband and said, “What should we do now?” (Which surprised me because the resort is pretty small!)

This isn’t the kind of all-inclusive where you’re rushing from activity to activity. It’s the kind where you slow down, spend hours by the pool or beach with a good book, eat incredible meals, and let someone else take care of all the little details.

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁:
✨ Every suite faces the ocean with a sunken whirlpool bath and hammock on the balcony.
✨ Butler service, nightly turndown service, plus an aromatherapy and pillow menu.
✨Complimentary garment steaming service—we didn’t have to pull out an iron once during our entire 7-night stay.
✨ Two gorgeous infinity pools overlooking that unreal turquoise water.
✨ Five-star food and service no matter where we ate—Hotel Mousai, Garza Blanca, or Villa del Palmar.

There are also fun extras if you want them—paddleboarding, kayaking, tequila and mezcal tastings, ceviche and chocolate classes—but honestly, my favorite part was simply having nowhere to be.

I know some people worry they’d get bored here because it’s a boutique resort. We thought we’d spend most of our time at Garza Blanca… but we barely left. Between the peaceful atmosphere, incredible dining, thoughtful little touches, and some of the warmest service we’ve experienced, we were perfectly happy staying right where we were.

If your dream vacation is all about slowing down, being pampered, eating really, really well, and waking up to that ocean view every morning… Hotel Mousai is one I’d go back to in a heartbeat.
