Cebu (Philippines), London, Columbus (Ohio), Baltimore, Ann Arbor, Atlanta, Curaçao, Greenville, Croatia, DMV, Playa Del Carmen, NYC, Panama City, Richmond (VA), Delaware, Sacramento, Miami, Youngstown (Ohio), Irvine, Guadalajara, Zaragoza, San Miguel de Allende, Puerto Vallarta, Houston, Medellin, and Richmond (CA)

That’s just what’s already scheduled and we have many more to come.

So…you’ve probably heard me talk about ExodUS Summit before. I’ve been talking about it for 6 years. For 6 years, and I have been planning, hosting, and leading an event that helps Black women and their families make permanent or temporary moves abroad.

It’s that time of year again so I’m talking about the summit AGAIN. Because every year this is the event that makes the difference in the lives of Black women looking to leave behind the things that weigh them down.

3. My first time flying Copa and the leg room in business is some of the best I’ve ever seen. Legs straight out and they still don’t reach the back of the seat. My 6 foot plus neighbor’s feet weren’t even under the seat in front of him.

When I left California in 2018, I thought I was gonna take a year off of work to get my head right and then dive back into my career in the same place (best case scenario) or take a step back (worst case scenario).

I never imagined that five years later I’d be speaking at the same event as , .cargle, and .

But here it is, and I’m so excited to announce that I’m speaking this year at . My topic is “Panic and Poor Planning: Financial Mistakes That Send New Expats Packing.” Because the last thing you want to do when you are abroad is end up having to go back home because your money is acting funny.

And I have one more super exciting thing to announce. I’m also the co-founder and co-host of . That means I’m going to spend October 6-9 speaking with Black women who inspire me, Black women who are leading the way, and Black women who are part of the Exodus Summit community (12,000 strong) and have valuable information for other Black women who want to move abroad or take career breaks.

Five years ago I was just going to take a break to clear my mind. Now, I co-run what called “the premiere virtual conference for Black women planning a sabbatical, expat move, or nomadic life abroad.”

I’m back on my couch after a three week God Mother Tour that took me to South Florida, and Vancouver Island, Canada. 

I loved up on my babies, my cousin and my bestie, their husbands (they have the best husbands), and myself.

Three weeks on the road during my busiest time of the year ( Season) might not be the choice that everyone would make, but birthday’s needed to be celebrated, and time waits for no one.

And the life I’ve intentionally built post-corporate America is a life that fully supports me doing what I want, where I want, when I want.

Digital namading with deer - yep, that’s my freedom. Working a couple hours and then going to soccer practice completely unplugged - yep, that’s my freedom. Beyonce on two continents this year - yep, that’s my freedom.

Freedom is the theme of ExodUS Summit this year - Location Freedom, Financial Freedom, and Time Freedom.

And maybe your goal isn’t to quit your job and move to Mexico. But if you’d like to spend weeks with your favorite people now instead of waiting for retirement, the summit is gonna give you the tools you need to build more time, location, and financial freedom into the life you’re living right now.

In the fall of 2020, and I planned a one-time event to help Black women move abroad and take career breaks/sabbaticals. We hosted 50+ Black women speakers over 7 days.

And my life changed forever!

Since that fall, we have had thousands of attendees and hundreds of success stories of Black women quitting their jobs, of Black women moving to countries they have dreamed of since childhood, and of Black women living life on their terms.

These women are getting to real freedom, real joy, real life after attending this now annual summit, and I'm so excited to be hosting it again.

As we bring you the fourth version of this , I gotta say this is the best and the biggest one yet. (Yes, I say this every year, but I ain't been wrong yet.)

In 2023, we are focusing on helping our Black women attendees get Time Freedom, Financial Freedom, and Location Freedom. This year's speakers are gonna show the exact steps to take to get to this life-changing freedom, and I hope you're there with a notebook in hand.
