The pyramids in Mexico have a 2,000yr old secret

PROOF of actual 'ancient guardians' protecting something sacred.

See, inside the restricted area of Teotihuacan pyramids, if you look closely...

You'll see one thing:
..dogs!

There's TONS of stray dogs who've inherited the job of protecting the pyramids.

And somehow these dogs at the Teotihuacan pyramids have officially adopted me as their friend😂

Every time I go to the pyramids for a tour I have multiple dogs wagging their tails and following me and my tour groups around the pyramids!

My tourists always ask "why do they love you so much?"

And it's because I buy dog food and feed them every single tour!

I donate 10% of my income to help with their food, water, and medical care.

Because honestly the dogs at the pyramids have a rough life. It gets cold, there's no food, and unfortunately not everyone loves dogs and so sometimes people abuse them.

But the dogs at the pyramids are part of the magic of this place.

And my tourists absolutely love meeting them (and getting photos)!

I'm working on setting up a charity for these puppies and trying to get them adopted so they can have better homes... if you know anyone who wants a pyramid puppy then DM me!

I see this mistake at Teotihuacan almost every single day...

& it breaks my heart, because it's completely avoidable...

and it ruins people's entire tour experience!

They show up at 2 PM...

With one small water bottle, wearing sandals, no hat, no sunscreen.

By 3 PM they're sunburned, exhausted, dehydrated, and ready to leave!

They miss 80% of the pyramids because they can't handle the heat and sun.

So, I always tell people:

✅ Arrive early, bring 2 water bottles per person, wear a hat, and comfortable shoes.

Don't let poor planning ruin one of Mexico's most incredible experiences!

I was scared to start my own business in Mexico giving tours to Teotihuacan...

A lot of people "warned me" not to do it...

(especially other tour agencies and guides)...

They told me, “it’s too dangerous & risky"

And at first... I believed them. I doubted myself and never started.

But after nearly a decade of working for OTHER tour agencies, giving tours to Teotihuacan to 1,000s of travelers from all over the world... and pouring my heart into the stories, the travelers, the history...

I kept thinking...

Why am I building their dream, and not mine? 🤔

So... I finally started my OWN tour business - Find Me Mexico!

5 things you MUST do in Mexico City!

1. Eat your way through a proper Mexican market

Go to Mercado Medellín and try fresh fruit with chili powder, grab tamales for breakfast, and don't leave without trying esquites (Mexican street corn)!

2. Take a trajinera boat through Xochimilco

It's like a Mexican Venice but with mariachi bands, floating taco vendors, and way more fun. Go on Sunday when locals are there - it's a party on water. Cost: about $20/hour for the whole boat (bring friends to split it).

3. Spend a morning in Chapultepec Park

Central Park wishes it was this cool. There's an actual castle on a hill with incredible city views, plus the world-class Anthropology Museum. Pro tip: The castle is free on Sundays for Mexican residents, but worth the $4 any day.

4. Get lost in a cantina in Centro Histórico

Find a place with swinging doors, old men playing dominoes, and mezcal that costs $2. Order cochinita pibil and prepare for the most authentic Mexican experience of your life!

5. Wake up early for Teotihuacan

Yes, it's touristy. Yes, it's still absolutely worth it. I recommend taking an early morning tour so you get there before the crowds arrive. The energy is incredible.

The best part about CDMX? You could do these 5 things and still only scratch the surface. This city has layers you could spend months exploring.
