Spring Break Camp in Playa del Carmen
There is a version of childhood that feels rushed, scheduled, fluorescent lit.
And then there is the version where kids come home sandy, salty, sun kissed and proud of themselves.
Wild Roots Spring Break Camp is built around that second one.
We are a marine biology based outdoor camp in Playa del Carmen designed for children ages 5 and up who thrive when they are moving, exploring, building friendships and learning through experience rather than lectures.
đ What We Do
Every day blends science, movement, creativity and community:
âą Snorkeling and ocean exploration
âą Beach ecosystem studies
âą Nature based art and creative projects
âą Group sports and confidence building challenges
âą Indoor rock climbing
âą Local cultural experiences
âą Team games that build leadership and cooperation
This is not passive entertainment.
This is real world learning in real environments.
Children study marine life where it actually lives.
They build resilience by trying new physical skills.
They practice communication and conflict resolution in mixed age groups.
They experience what it feels like to belong in community.
đż The Wild Roots Philosophy
We believe childhood should feel expansive.
We are not a luxury program. We are an immersive, culturally rich experience that prioritizes safety, curiosity, and respect for place. Families join understanding that growth sometimes looks like sandy feet, different cultural rhythms, and learning to adapt.
Our shared expectations are simple:
Children participate, stay with the group, respect spaces and people, and approach the experience with openness.
Parents trust the container we have carefully built and encourage their children to fully engage.
That alignment is what makes the magic work.

Spring Break 2026 Dates
March 23 to 27
March 30 to April 3
April 6 to 10 (just opened!)
Flexible enrollment options available.
đ Why This Matters
Spring break can be a week of screens and overstimulation.
Or it can be a week where your child learns how to identify reef fish, climbs higher than they thought they could, navigates group dynamics, and falls asleep tired in the best way possible.
We are not just filling time.
We are shaping nervous systems, confidence, and worldview.
If you want your child outdoors, regulated by sunshine and salt water, learning marine biology through lived experience, and building friendships with like minded families, this is for you.
Spots are intentionally limited to keep the experience personal and high quality.
If you are ready for a different kind of spring break, reach out. đż
