Favorable conditions no dates announced just time for the current conditions to stabilize
COZUMEL CARNIVAL POSTPONED.
The factor that forced the municipal authorities to adopt this measure, obeys the high growth of covid infections worldwide, and will be able to celebrate "until the conditions to perform it are the right one", emphasized the municipal president Juanita Alonso Marrufo, in a video directed to the community.
He said the measure seeks to protect the health of local residents and visitors, in spite of not wanting to retreat into the epidemiological traffic light and risk economic reactivation.
The decision was made after a meeting with the Organizing Committee of the Carnival, where the technical opinions of the Health representatives of Cozumel were poured and such a conclusion was reached.
It did not disclose any trial date, this can be taken later when there are favorable conditions.
