What you might see in South Florida’s Big Cypress National Park during August ☀️💦 I set my sights on seeing some gators 🐊 (not exactly ready to look them in the eye, but all ready to face my fear) however, maybe it was too hot for them as well because there wasn’t all that many wildlife sightings during the daytime, mostly the elegant white Egrets out searching for a meal🦩, silly Turtles 🐢 and I have to mention the annoying mosquitoes! ….. Anyone visiting the Everglades, I do suggest stopping by the Nathaniel P Reed visitor center (Big Cypress Swamp Welcome Center) they have a wildlife observation deck out back. Plus, Park Rangers tours. Sign up in advance for their tour by canoe, swamp hike ( not for me, ❤️ hiking but snakes 🐍 and alligators 🐊 not so much) there are swamp buggy tours that can take you out into back country. All tours are great for anyone wanting to see / learn about local plants and wildlife. 🐆🦌🐊🦩🐢🐍🦎 Recommended: long sleeves, boots, camera, binoculars, and bug repellent is a must
