January in Cozumel
Greetings and hope all had a happy new year and holidays. January has been a busy one diving along with the usual north winds ("norte") that shuts the port here for at times, several days. With the colder weather and water come changes in which fish and creatures are most prevalent. The changing population never disappoints. I have also found a few this month that I had not seen before - a checkered puffer and bearded toadfish -or had better luck with images - a torpedo ray, a havana mantis shrimp a porcupinefish couple and and eagle rays and sting ray foraging together....
