Caretakers of the Environment International (CEI) is a global network of secondary school teachers and students who are active in environmental education. A CEI Conference is held annually since 1987 to provide students and their teachers with an interactive platform for sharing and accomplishing projects on environmental topics, for discussing relevant and current issues and problems, for looking together for solutions for the future and for celebrating the involvement and interest of young and creative students in saving our planet . Each conference also serves as a cultural exchange between all participants. The CEI Alumni Team is an integral part of Caretakers of the Environment International and serves predominantly as a support for the host of the annual conference. The Alumni Team represents former participants who continue to live the Caretaker spirit. It exists of a group of young students and professionals who have each attended at least two CEI conferences and want to continue their participation in the CEI network. Alumni represent the international nature of CEI and come from all corners of the world, sharing the same energy, dedication, creativity and leadership skills.
