If you have visited Vilankulos you may have seen horses on the beach, or been lucky enough to ride them. I have and it's a magical experience. But where the horses came from and how Mandy and Patrick ended up in Vilankulos setting up Mozambique Horse Safari is quite a story. Mandy has written a book about their story and she has been kind enough to share a small part of it it with us on Enjoy Moz.

If you arrive in the small coastal town of Vilankulo and take a walk along the beach you will no doubt come across some horses in the water. You will probably notice a small crowd gathering and people being lifted on their banks to join their guide in the warm Indian Ocean for a swim.

The guide to entering Mozambique visa free has arrived.

If you are entering Mozambique visa free and you don't have a SADC country passport then the rules have changed. You MUST register before you travel. You may be barred from catching your flight or turned back at the border if you do not do this.
