Position: Senior Commercial Sales Consultant
Division Sales Branch:
General Description of Duties
• Generate new business within the commercial market
• Source and develop networking & relationships
• Assist with development of sales strategies for agents
• Plan and conduct marketing activities and participate in sales events
• Prepare quotations and assist clients with applications
• Provide feedback and follow up with clients
• Visiting client’s premises for pre-assessments and for general insurance advise
• Assist with renewal of farming policies
• Respond to enquiries telephonically and/or in person
• Monitor and report on sales activities and provide feedback to manager
• Assist with monitoring of competitors, market conditions and product development
• Manage achieving of sales targets
• Assist agents and enforce minimum standards and requirements
Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
• Grade 12 (at least 25 points);
• Short term insurance qualifications;
Experience
• At least 5 years short term commercial insurance experience
• Experience and good knowledge of the farming industry
• Sales experience will be an advantage
• Client relations experience

Added Advantages/Special Requirements
• Must have a valid drivers licence with own transport, prepared to travel on gravel roads and to travel extensively;

Remuneration will be based on a basic salary plus commission
