In 2025, choose the country you go to studies wisely.

1. United States of America - if you manage to secure a visa for study, remember your wife will not be able to work except she secures a visa on her own. Health insurance is expensive. USA is awesome if you secure a full ride scholarship. However, there are tonnes of big career opportunities in the States.

2. United Kingdom - easy to secure admission. In 2025, proof of funds will increase to about 24 million naira outside London and 30 million naira if your university is in the London area. You can't bring your spouse except for MRes or PhD. Limited work hours for both Msc and PhD. students. Health surcharge will drain you and visa fees are not friendly. Post study work visa of two years in the UK will set you back by Β£2800. Imagine you are family of four, that is Β£11,600 for two years. However, higher chances of visa approval to the UK if you have all your documents. Plus you only need 28 days for your bank statement.

3. Australia - proof of funds requirement is on the high side about 31 million plus ($29,710 AUD). This is minus tuition fees which run in millions. Similar to the UK, you cannot bring your spouse except for MRes or PhD. However, Australia has a generous post study period of more than 3 years and it remains a top destination for travel but it will cost you a lot to relocate to. Bank statement for study cannot be less than 3 months and must show all the funds. Australia visa approval is quite tricky to predict. You can still be served breakfast even if you tick all the boxes.

4. New Zealand - proof of funds is about 20 million naira (20,000 NZD). Post study for Msc and above is 3 years. Although tuition fee are not cheap your spouse gets to work and your children about 5 years school for free till university level as long as your course is Level 9 and above. Study visas have very high chances of approval. If you secure a job after study, you can apply for Residence class visa.

5. Canada - proof of funds is above 24 million naira ($20,635). Tuition fees are slightly lower compared to Australia and New Zealand. However, a lot is changing in Canada and the rate of visa refusal has been concerning. However, it remains a top destination for travel for studies and provide ample opportunities to convert to more permanent visa types. This may change in 2025 so bear this in mind.

There is absolutely nothing impossible in this life. You only need patience, consistency, and an optimistic mind.

Patience means knowing that life is a process and not a race against the clock. It means you see those making it through vice but will never want to make it through vice. You believe that evening doesn't happen in the morning.

Consistency means you do not try once and say it's enough. It is a continuous trial even when you fail. You're never satisfied trying. Such a habit is what makes the difference.

An optimistic mind means that you believe that you are the best and you will always win. You believe that it is either they give it to you or no one else. It means you believe that you are not a candidate for failure. You're always positive even in the face of things that seem impossible.

In this 2025, never ignore the Kaizen theory. It is a theory that believes that a consistent and constant small effort leads to significant growth, improvement, and achievement.

Lastly, do not allow the Hedonic bias principle to shroud you this year. It's a principle where people generally attribute success to their efforts but blame external factors for their failures.

You will never rise with such a mindset. Learn to trace the root cause of a problem and solve it. Don't blame anyone.

Remember that all your efforts will be futile if you're on the wrong path. Identify your purpose. Don't do it because others are doing it. Otherwise, you will waste your time and resources.

It's unacceptable. We exert unnecessary energy on people who try to hold us accountable and forget those who are exacerbating the problem in our country in the form of terrorism and all kinds of crime.

I have for you here what you do not know.
The Bible on the dashboard of your car and on the side of your bed has no spiritual protection against any accident or midnight devil's attack.

The Bible on your bed is meant to be read once you wake up. And not your phone, opening Facebook, TikTok and WhatsApp that early.

Forget what you see in Nollywood movies. It does not work like that. So don't keep the Holy Bible there if you will not open it to read. It is not charm that prevents accidents.

If it worked like that, in Luke 4: 1-13, Jesus would not have said 'It is written" and there are about nine instances where he made such statements. He would have allowed the hard copy Bible to do the magic.

The devil knows the Bible already; you are to remind him and how will you do that when you do not read it?
Now you know.

Just look at the headline. What is the hope of the man on the street. Seriously, I'm concerned about the lack of proper oversight and regulation of medical services provided by both private and public hospitals in Nigeria.

Many people I know have been misdiagnosed and given inaccurate test results. This can lead to serious issues when they take the prescribed medications based on these incorrect results.

What about those in rural areas with no access to healthcare whose source of medical treatment depends on the local chemist shops that sell both Rx and OTC drugs to them without diagnosis?

These people are in danger of developing antibiotic resistance, which is a bigger problem.

The federal government needs to look into this matter. Due to inaccessibility to healthcare, these locals in the rural areas would go to the chemist's shop, and these guys would empirically mix all kinds of medication for them to treat an assumed kind of disease.

Most of this mixture of drugs can lead to potential issues like drug-drug interactions, high risk of side effects, medication non-adherence, and even reduced drug efficacy. This means that the therapeutic benefit of the treatment could be reduced, which leads to prolonging the health issues or worsening the patient's condition.

That is why you would take medications and feel like the drug is not working.

Taking too many medications can also increase the chances of drug toxicity, which can lead to severe health problems.

By all means, I am calling on the federal government to please look into this matter. Healthcare is a basic need and at least should be subsidised if not completely free.

This is becoming scary. Any national hardship that impedes access to healthcare is a planned man-made disaster. I mean, people are already fed up with the high cost of food and this as well? No, no, it doesn't sound good. What should those in the rural area do?

Earlier before now I saw in the media about the cholera outbreaks in Lagos state Nigeria and I said I was going to contribute my part in the way I could, towards proffering solutions and saving the lives of our people who are endangered. Not until a friend of mine in Lagos called me today and told me of the constant increase in cases.

So what exactly is cholera?

Cholera is a potentially deadly disease caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae. It has been a significant public health issue for centuries. Characterized by severe diarrhoea and dehydration. Cholera can be fatal within hours if left untreated. However, we need to know that understanding its causes, symptoms, and prevention is of utmost importance for controlling the outbreaks and saving lives of our people in Nigeria.

Here are the causes:

Just like we have always complained about clean water and dirt-free food, cholera spreads through contaminated water and food. The primary source of infection is typically water contaminated with faeces from an infected person. Poor sanitation, inadequate water treatment, and lack of proper hygiene practices are significant contributors to the spread of cholera, especially in areas with limited resources and infrastructure.

The first time I saw a video of a place in Lagos called Makoko, one thing that came to my mind was, where do these people get water? Where are their bathroom and toilets? Because such places can influence the outbreak of cholera.

So, when a person consumes contaminated water or food, the cholera bacteria release a toxin in the intestines. This toxin causes the cells in the intestines to release large amounts of water, leading to severe diarrhoea and rapid loss of fluids and electrolytes.

Now here are the symptoms:

Cholera symptoms can range from mild to severe and usually appear within two hours to five days after infection. The most common symptoms include:

Severe Diarrhea: A sudden onset of watery diarrhoea, often described as "rice-water stools" due to its appearance.

Dehydration: Rapid loss of body fluids can lead to dehydration, which is characterized by dry mouth, decreased urine output, sunken eyes, and extreme thirst.

Vomiting: This can occur alongside diarrhoea and contribute to fluid loss.

Muscle Cramps: Caused by the loss of electrolytes.

Shock: In severe cases, rapid dehydration can lead to shock and, if untreated, death.

Prevention:

Preventing cholera involves a combination of clean water, improved sanitation, and proper hygiene practices. I will suggest that the government should intervene for those in Makoko and other rural communities in Lagos and Nigeria at large.

Access to Clean Water: Ensuring a safe water supply through treatment and proper storage.

Sanitation: Proper disposal of human waste and improved sanitation facilities to prevent contamination.

Hygiene: Handwashing with soap and water, especially after using the bathroom and before handling food.

Vaccination: Oral cholera vaccines are available and can provide protection during these outbreaks and for individuals travelling to high-risk areas.

In conclusion, we all know that cholera is a preventable and treatable disease, but it continues to affect millions of people worldwide, particularly in areas with poor sanitation and limited access to clean water. Understanding the causes, symptoms, and prevention methods is necessary for controlling and eventually eliminating the disease. Africare Health Network is committed to delivering sustained prevention measures while we call on the Nigerian government and Lagos state government to improve living conditions and provide good water for the citizens. With these, we can make significant efforts toward a cholera-free world.

In your quest to acquire and become powerful, do not forget that only the provision of God attracts the protection of God.

Places of high authority are places of high security.
If God has given you authority, he will give you security.

If he's the one who made you, he will preserve you for his purposes. But if you were announced around 5 a.m., when the rightful person is still asleep, it is just a matter of time.

I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I can not change it. - Num 23: 20

No matter what men do or say if it has come out of God's mouth, my dear, forget it.

If your hands are clean, if you are innocent, believe me, God will preserve you and speak for you when your case is to be decided.

I don't know who needs to hear this. Do not do it your way. You'll eternally suffer in it.

Let me talk to young guys, hear me, HK is not the best place to make it. You'll eternally suffer in it.

You can never substantially make a replicable wealth in vice. You can never bypass the principle of Genesis chapter 1 verse 1.

You must pay the price. Nothing of value is priceless.

I know people who paid their way to study medicine and surgery at the university only to be told in their final year that it was a fake admission. What does it tell you? Human beings made them not God.

In conclusion, do not forget that if he's the one who made you, he will surely preserve you. Stay consistent, stay undistracted, and stay honest, and you will see the reward.
