Chairman of the Elem Kalabari Council of Chiefs gives an insight to the Art Exhibition which was opened yesterday.

Join us at the Moriri Art Gallery, Rumuogba Estate, Port-Harcourt, for the Art Exhibition of Kalabari Renaissance Foundation Organizers of Kalabari New Year Festival happening till the 15th of November, 2025.

This incredible showcase celebrates Kalabari culture, art, and heritage, featuring stunning driftwood sculptures and installations inspired by Kalabari folklore and oceanic mythology. It's a unique opportunity to experience the rich history and creativity of the Kalabari people.

As we usher in the new year, we're excited to share this celebration of art, identity, and community.

Your presence will contribute to the growth of Kalabari culture and support the proposed Kalabari museum in Elem Kalabari.

Tamunosoye Karibi-George, fondly known as Soye, is a proud daughter of Buguma in the Kalabari Kingdom of Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Rivers State, Nigeria. A beauty queen, model, communications professional, creative director, and advocate for youth empowerment, Soye embodies grace, intellect, and purpose.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Madonna University and is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). Her passion for meaningful impact and authenticity continues to drive her in all spheres of life.

As the reigning Miss Africa International 2024, Soye represents a new generation of African women who are confident, compassionate, and committed to purpose. Through her skill acquisition Initiative, she provides free skill acquisition and entrepreneurship training for youth promoting self-reliance and creativity.

She is also the creator and host of “Unlocking Chapters,” an inspirational series that encourages people to embrace their stories, trust their process, and live authentically.

A proud Kalabari woman and an embodiment of culture, intellect, and elegance, Soye continues to inspire others to live boldly, stay true to their roots, and use their voices for positive change.

From the Organizers of the Kalabari New Year Festival

The Organizers of the Kalabari New Year Festival wish to inform the general public of our inability to conclude all necessary modalities to have International Guest Reggae Artist Prince Osito perform at this year’s festival, scheduled for 16th November 2025.

We sincerely regret this development and assure our supporters and fans that discussions are ongoing toward future collaboration with the artist. We are optimistic that the partnership will materialize in subsequent editions of the festival.

We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your continued understanding and support as we work to deliver a memorable and culturally rich celebration.
