IGWE BU IKE — UNITY IS STRENGTH
Good people of Nomeh and all lovers of progress, unity, and community development, the current news reaching us is that our brother, Onovo Chigozie Valentine, popularly known as Maazi Ancestor, has been released after spending a few days in detention and has now been granted bail. Maazi who has been allegedly facing persecution for daring to speak up for the welfare and progress of his community, Nomeh Unateze. Over the years, he has remained one of the strongest voices for the people, especially at a time many leaders who were expected to defend the interest of the community failed to do so..
After the roof of the secondary school in the community was blown off by heavy wind and abandoned for a long time, Maazi took it upon himself to mobilize support from kind-hearted individuals within and outside the community. Through his efforts, hope and joy were restored to the students and the school management—which is the only hope of the community. Beyond that, he has consistently championed good causes in various villages in Nomeh. He has organized fundraisers to supported students with exercise books and other materials, and continued to speak boldly for those who have no voice. His passion for the growth and unity of Nomeh has touched many lives.
Tonight, there's a massive joyful celebration at his compound as lovers of his good works, admirers, and those whose lives he has impacted gather to welcome him home and stand in solidarity with him.
We sincerely appreciate everyone who made efforts, prayed, and worked tirelessly to see him regain his freedom. This alone shows that the Nomeh we dreamed about is alive and coming back. Thus; It is our hope that this case will help expose and overcome those promoting hatred, disunity, and opposition to progress of the people and people of our great town—Nomeh, while restoring love, unity, peace, and strength among our people as one community.
May God continue to bless Maazi, and protect him
