*Lagos NIS Controller Visits Christian Pilgrims Board, Pledges Smoother Travel Process for Pilgrims*

The Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos State Command, led by Comptroller Christopher Olu Onajirin, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board.

He was received by the Board Secretary, Dr. Gbolabo Omoniyi Okudero.

The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the NIS and the Board and ensuring seamless pilgrimage exercises in Lagos.

Comptroller Onajirin highlighted ongoing NIS reforms under Comptroller General Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap to make passport and visa services faster and more transparent. He pledged the Command’s support to ensure intending pilgrims to Israel receive smooth and respectful treatment during screenings, with reduced wait times and no bottlenecks.

Dr. Okudero appreciated the visit and called for a sustained partnership to improve service delivery for pilgrims. Both parties agreed to deepen collaboration ahead of future pilgrimage exercise.
