As we reflect on our democratic journey, we must also reflect on the work that still lies ahead.

Every Nigerian child deserves access to education in a safe and secure environment. Our schools should be places of learning, growth, and hope—not places of fear.

We call for greater commitment to the security of our communities, schools, students, and teachers. We must continue to work towards a Nigeria where every child can pursue their education without fear and where every teacher can carry out their noble duty in safety.

Our thoughts are also with the children and educators who remain separated from their families as a result of insecurity. We join countless Nigerians in hoping and praying for their safe return home.

A stronger Nigeria is possible. A safer Nigeria is possible. A better Nigeria is possible.

I had the pleasure of meeting with Sadia today to discuss opportunities for collaboration and student recruitment on behalf of the University of Kent.
