Some stories are better imagined.
This is Farida, Abdulraheem Adeleke, probably a yoruba who grew up in the North considering her fluency in Hausa language. After listening to her story, I've been devastated 😔 😔
On 12th August, 2024, armed kidnappers raided her home and went away with her and her three sons. On their way, she told them she was tired, so they left with the boys and asked her to wait they were bringing a bike. While waiting, she reasoned within herself, 'Why not escape?. She did and found her way to a village and the JTF took her back home
Next day, the kidnappers called using her phone and demanded for half a billion. After much pleas and bargains, they agreed to collect 5m. They sold and scrapped their belongings to raise the money. The kidnappers called that the money had 100k of bad notes. They promised to give back another 100k on Monday since the next day was Sunday. But alas the hope of seeing the kids was shortlived. Come Monday, the negotiators changed to one Kachalla who demanded for a fresh ransom. All pleas fell on deaf ears, he said even if the kids will be with him for 10 years, he doesn't mind because he bought the kids and will not lose his money.
During one of the negotiations, he said he liked one of the boys, Sadiq and wants him for keeps.
Anyway according to the kids after they were released, that Kachalla had some disagreement with a younger brother and Kachalla threatened to end their lives.
The younger brother ended his life b4 his threat could come to fruition.
Another round of negotiations started with the younger brother who later collected 100k, a bike but released two boys without Sadiq. When asked he said Sadiq drowned along the way.
They accepted their fate and moved on until one day the kids told their mother that Sadiq did not die but was carried away.
She then called Kachalla younger brother and told him what the kids said, he was surprised and even told the kids why did they reveal the secret even after he promised to recapture them if they did
To cut it short, Sadiq is still with his captors and his family does not know his whereabouts cry
She is calling on the government and the good people of Nigeria to help locate her son as she does not want him to end up as a bandit 😭😭 😭😭😭😭
