The Prophet ﷺ said:

"Shall I not tell you what is better in degree than fasting, prayer, and charity?" They said, "Yes!" He said, "Reconciling between people, for disputes and bad feelings are the razor (that shaves off good deeds).”

Sunan Abu Dawood (No. 4919), Jami' at-Tirmidhi (No. 2509)

As Muslims we should not be quick to cut ties, and let's not forget that wanting to make peace does not necessarily mean that you continue close relations.

The most important thing is to ensure there's no enmity whatsoever between you and your brother.

Jābir Al-Ansārī -may ALLĀH be pleased with him- said:

Whenever you're fasting, your hearing, sight/vision should also fast (i.e refrain from listening and looking at what's not good) and your tongue from lie and sin. And stay away from harming others, you should be calm on your fasting day. You shouldn't let your fasting day and the day you're not fasting to be the same.

Ramadhan is not just about not eating or drinking, it also entails that we be mindful of what we say, watch, listen to and how we interact.
