Baba Awe is an aged man. He has been a wizard all his life even as he's gone beyond 80 years of age.
He inherited masquerading from his family. And he's a go to herbalist that people visit for their spiritualit
Last Wednesday, something happened to baba.
The spirit he consulted with (Osanyin) for the past 60 years of his life was not available.
He called and called and the òòsà was not available.
Later on that day, the òòsà returned.
Baba thought he had offended his òòsà. "Have I done something wrong? Why were you not available?"
"I went to pray Solat" the òòsà responded.
Baba couldn't believe his ears.
He himself has never prayed before in his life. And here he was being told by what he worshiped that he prayed to Allah.
"What does this mean?" Baba questioned.
"Well, for some time, I have been tilting towards Islam. And I noticed the truth in that religion. So I now pray and I encourage you to consider it too."
Baba was dumbfounded.
"But where did you go to pray?" Baba asked.
"I went to Iwo to pray." The òòsà responded.
This event happened at Olokokete at Olodo Ibadan. Baba Must have measured how far that distance is to Iwo where his òòsà went to pray.
"I noticed that you've not been available since few Fridays ago. Where have you been all those time?"
"I went to pray Jummat prayer. Do you want me to go blind by not praying? I started praying Jummat first. But now, I pray the rest too."
There and then, baba called on his old wife and informed her that they should revert to Islam.
That was how he abandoned being a herbalist. He and his wife went to Jummat prayer on Friday, Sept 16 where they explained everything to the bewildered congregation
People who live in Olokokete area can testify to how potent Baba Awe's charms were. But he has since dissociated himself with those charms. Even his clients who.come for spiritual counseling couldn't believe their ears when baba informed them that he is now a Muslim and he's no long offering spiritual consultation.
All his old siblings and family all came from their various destination to confirm the story from him with happiness.
Baba's old wife reverted to Islam along with him. The last Jummat where baba took his shahadah was said to be lively and interesting as shout of Allahu Akbar rented the air.
It was reported that only one of Baba's children is still adamant to the old way of Baba Awe.
