The 2025 FTAN Governing Council Meeting was held in Uyo - Akwa Ibom State from 21st - 24th May, 2025 ….. and It ended in Praise, Friendship and a big leap for AkwaIbom.
Many thanks to our National President of FTAN, Mr. Nkereuwem Onung who graciously appointed our Founder and Chapter Cordinator of FTAN Akwa Ibom, Mr. Joseph F. Umoh to chair the Local Organising Committee - LOC
We deeply appreciate all the esteemed delegates and guests including the DG/CEO of Nihotour Nig Dr. Abisoye Fagade, our Hon. Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Akwa Ibom State Dr. Anieti Udofia and the Perm Sec Mrs. Grace Akpan, the esteemed Chairman and members of the FTAN BOT, FTAN National Exco, the national leadership of the FTAN affiliated Associations, my friends and colleagues on the LOC, the Tourism Press and the leadership of FTAN Akwa Ibom State whose highly valued presence and various contributions greatly enhanced the event.

Earlier today, Wednesday 14th May, 2025, the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) President, Mr Nkereuwem Onung had an official engagement with Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Culture & Tourism, Dr Anieti Udofia on courtesy call to brief him on the forthcoming FTAN Governing Council Meeting in Uyo from May 21st to 24th.

The delegation had the Coordinator of FTAN and Chairman Local Organising Committee (LOC), Mr Joe Umoh and other members of the committee to discuss the prospects the all important FTAN convention offers the tourism sector in the state.
